I grew up in Lodi, California, in a hard working immigrant family. My parents lost their family farms during World War II, and that history helped shape my own appreciation for agriculture and property. As a teenager, I spent my summers working in the vineyards around Lodi, which sparked my lifelong connection to farming and real estate.
While attending San Jose State as a Business Finance major, I worked as a bank teller and spent one summer interning with the bank’s appraisal department. That experience opened the door to a career in real estate appraisal, which has taken me all over California from the Bay Area to Sacramento, Fresno, and now Kingsburg, where I’ve spent the last 14 years appraising agricultural properties with Golden State Farm Credit. I am also a longtime member of the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers. From 1994 to 2011, I ran my own residential appraisal business, helping families understand the true value of their homes.
One of my most memorable adventures was cycling across the country from Santa Cruz to New York City the summer before college graduation. That trip taught me the value of persistence and seeing things through which are qualities that still guide my work today.
Mary, my wife of 38 years, and I bought our first farm in 1992. A few years later, we sold it to purchase 26 acres of vineyard along the Kings River just outside of Kingsburg. We built our home and removed the vineyard in order to develop an almond orchard.
We have three children and four grandchildren who all live in Kingsburg, which has made this community even more special to us. We stay active in our church, enjoy early morning bike rides together through the countryside, and make time for family adventures, whether it’s skiing with our sons or wakeboarding and boating on the Kings River. I also served on the Kingsburg High School Board while our children were attending high school, and I’ve spent the last 17 years volunteering in the press box at Friday night football games.
Real estate is personal to me. I understand what it means to invest in a home, in land, and in a community. Whether you’re selling your farm, buying your first home, or looking for the right place to put down roots, I’m here to offer local knowledge and honest guidance.
